The Physics/Atmospheric Sciences student council comprises all students of these subjects at JGU. Specifically, this includes students from the Physics Bachelor of Science, Physics Bachelor of Education, Applied Physics Bachelor of Science, Meteorology Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science Environmental Sciences (with a focus on atmosphere and climate) and the corresponding master’s degree programs, as well as all students with physics as a minor subject. This presumably affects a large proportion of math and computer science students.
The student council (FSR for short) is the elected substitute for the student body. The members of the FSR are elected for one year at the Fachschaftsvollversammlung (VV). The FSR meets weekly during the lecture period, the results of which you can read in the meeting minutes. The tasks of the FSR are defined in the rules of order (to be found in the Wiki). In addition, the FSR regularly organizes physics parties.
